Protecting Sources
We are used to working with people who want to expose corruption and wrongdoing but who fear targeting either in schools or in the local community. The testimonials on Steinermentary show that we are successful in doing so.
We will always protect sources, including by anonymising individuals and families who request that. Please see our anonymised video testimonials which are reconstructed using actors.
There are also very many occasions where important information has not been released because of the level of fear, and sometimes this has occurred just before publication.
Where communities are very scared, using a story that is already well known by many people can help, as it’s harder to pin on any particular person.
We will not publish stories anonymising schools, as we don’t see the point of that, and in fact see that vagueness as being helpful to the wrong people.
